Rob McGill

He oversees the strategic direction and growth of the firm with a specific focus on consulting, corporate finance and capital markets. For the past 11 years he has acted either as an advisor or Interim-Executive to the boards or executive management teams of corporations, venture capital, investment and merchant banking firms.
While his role would vary he essentially worked with client teams on developing and executing strategies that achieved agreed objectives. Some of the engagements he has been involved with include:

  • Interim-CEO of a corporate finance firm advising the ownership on restructuring.
  • COO of a $150 million technology products and services company building a 5 year turnaround growth model increasing profitability and restructuring capital sources.
  • Capital structuring in excess of $500 million in debt and equity across North America in conjunction with institutional investors and lenders.
  • Acted as lead advisor on acquisitions and divestitures for US venture capital firms.
  • Structured a private public sector transaction between the largest independent dairy farmer in the US and the Government of the Bahamas.

Previously he was based in Chicago with Xpedior and held the position of President, International and EVP Strategy. In this role he was responsible for the expansion of Xpediors international business in the UK, Benelux, Germany, Latin America, Australia and Hong Kong. In 2001 he orchestrated the sale of the International operations to a European consulting firm.

Prior to joining Xedior, Rob was a Global Director with the Boston Consulting Group (BCG). His mandate was to work with clients and case teams in transforming business strategy to operational models across various industry sectors (media, financial services, retail, telecom and technology). In addition to his role within BCG, he also acted as an advisor to iFormation (BCG, Goldman Sachs, General Atlantic Partners) and its portfolio companies.

Before joining BCG he held executive leadership positions with The Caldwell Partners, Olivetti Systems & Networks and Sony Corporation.
